South Florida Science Center joins partners at Florida Capitol for STEM Day

SFSCA teams up with Orlando Science Center and other partners including museums, science centers, educators and corporations from around the state at STEM Day in Tallahassee on Thursday, February 27, 2020. The goal is to engage legislators about the importance of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education and to highlight the critical role that Science Centers and museums play in inspiring and creating the STEM workforce of tomorrow.

Good “Clean” Fun Featured at Engineering Competition

On April 16, approximately 400 students from elementary, middle and high schools in Palm Beach County competed in the 30th annual engineering design competition called “Drop it, Thrill It, Float It, Launch it, Clean It.”

Life-size animatronic dinosaurs coming to South Florida Science Center

They're the same size as the dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago. They look as authentic as science can make them. And they move.

Two years ago, leaders at the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium unveiled $5 million worth of renovations that transformed the half-century-old facility inside and out, giving it a new name, thousands of extra square feet in space and a new aquarium double the size of the old one.
 
They haven't stopped there.
