Second Friday of Every Month

Jam out under the Cox Science Center's full-dome planetarium, while the sounds of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and more merge with dazzling laser light visuals! 

On the second Friday of every month, rock out with a nostalgic throwback to the classic laser light spectacles you know and love. From Daft Punk to Michael Jackson, and Taylor Swift to Beyonce, we’re integrating music from some of the greatest artists of our time with mind-blowing laser-light visuals.

Cost: $13 for members; $15 for non-members (purchase below)

 

Please note:

  • The entrance gate to Dreher Park is closed on Southern Blvd (closes at dusk). Please use the Summit Blvd. entrance and be sure to park within the designated Science Center parking lots.

  • Some lyrics within these laser shows may contain profanity or adult language/themes depending on the band/artist. Although there is no age restriction, some shows may be less suitable for young children. Purchase at your own discretion.

  • Admission to laser shows only includes a portion of Science Center exhibits. Each show lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. Doors lock 5 minutes after shows start and there is no late admittance. Please be sure to arrive early to ensure seating, which is first come, first serve.

Friday, April 11th - Dark Side of the (Pink) Moon - Pink Floyd Double Feature!

6PM - Laser Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon - The first of our double feature takes us on a journey through one of the most iconic albums in rock history with Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd’s masterpiece of sound and philosophy. This laser show transforms the album’s atmospheric melodies and deep themes into a mesmerizing visual experience. Easily among the top laser shows in our catalog, this show sells out fast! 7PM - Laser Pink Floyd: The Wall - The finale of the double feature has us stepping into the world of The Wall, Pink Floyd’s rock opera that explores isolation, rebellion, and self-discovery. This show brings to life the album’s legendary tracks and stunning storytelling through a breathtaking laser display. Considered one of the best laser shows ever made, you won't want to miss out!

8PM - NEW! Laser Grateful Dead - Drift into the psychedelic and free-spirited world of the Grateful Dead, the pioneers of jam band culture. With their eclectic mix of rock, folk, and blues, this laser show captures the essence of their legendary live performances and devoted fanbase.

 

Friday, May 9th - California Love

6PM - NEW! Laser Offspring - Feel the high-energy punk rock spirit of The Offspring, a band that helped define the ‘90s alternative scene. With fast-paced riffs and rebellious anthems, this laser show is a wild ride through their biggest hits.

7PM - NEW! Laser Sublime - Soak in the laid-back, reggae-infused sounds of Sublime, the California trio that blended punk, ska, and hip-hop into a genre of their own. This show captures the sun-soaked vibes and infectious grooves that made them legendary.
