Science on Tap: GMOs and You

Chances are you’ve heard of GMOs (genetically modified organisms). They’re everywhere from news and legislature to Twitter and Facebook feeds. But what exactly are they, and why are so many people for or against them? The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is ready to provide some food for thought on the subject with the help of registered dietitian and nutritionist, Michelle Parenti Lewis and Chris Miller, agent for the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
