Second Friday of Every Month

Jam out under the Cox Science Center's full-dome planetarium, while the sounds of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and more merge with dazzling laser light visuals! 

On the second Friday of every month, rock out with a nostalgic throwback to the classic laser light spectacles you know and love. From Daft Punk to Michael Jackson, and Taylor Swift to Beyonce, we’re integrating music from some of the greatest artists of our time with mind-blowing laser-light visuals.

Cost: $13 for members; $15 for non-members (purchase below)

 

Please note:

  • The entrance gate to Dreher Park is closed on Southern Blvd (closes at dusk). Please use the Summit Blvd. entrance and be sure to park within the designated Science Center parking lots.

  • Some lyrics within these laser shows may contain profanity or adult language/themes depending on the band/artist. Although there is no age restriction, some shows may be less suitable for young children. Purchase at your own discretion.

  • Admission to laser shows only includes a portion of Science Center exhibits. Each show lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. Doors lock 5 minutes after shows start and there is no late admittance. Please be sure to arrive early to ensure seating, which is first come, first serve.

Friday, May 9th - Kings (and Queen) of Rock

7PM - Laser AC/DC - Turn up the volume with the raw, hard-hitting power of AC/DC, one of the most iconic hard rock bands of all time. This laser experience cranks out riff-heavy classics that have fueled rock fans for generations.

8PM - Laser Metallica - Back by popular demand, Metallica returns to close the night with even more epic guitar solos, thunderous drums, and unmatched intensity. Don’t miss this heavy metal spectacle that shakes the dome.

 

Friday, June 13th - Loud and Proud

6PM - Laser Pride - Celebrate love, identity, and freedom with a radiant mix of queer anthems and powerful messages of inclusion. This vibrant laser show is a joyful and empowering tribute to the LGBTQ+ community.

7PM - NEW! Laser David Bowie - Enter the starman’s universe with a dazzling tribute to David Bowie, the shape-shifting icon of glam rock and reinvention. This laser show honors his fearless creativity, genre-bending sound, and enduring legacy.

8PM - Laser Elton John - Sing along to the piano-driven classics of Elton John, whose showmanship and heartfelt songwriting have captivated audiences for decades. This laser show brings his colorful world to life in spectacular fashion.

 

Friday, July 11th - Miss Americana

6PM - UPDATED! Laser Taylor Swift - Reimagined and refreshed, this laser show spans Taylor Swift’s evolution from country darling to global pop powerhouse. With hits from every era, it’s a sparkling celebration of her storytelling and star power.

7PM - NEW! Billie Eilish - Enter the haunting, genre-defying world of Billie Eilish, where minimal beats and deep lyrics meet bold visuals. This laser show channels her unique vibe and creative vision in a darkly mesmerizing experience.

8PM - ENCORE! Laser Taylor Swift - By popular demand, Taylor returns for an encore performance to close out the night with more fan favorites and unforgettable moments in laser-lit splendor.
